Dogs in Harmony is now based in the wonderful town of Carleton Place. For 20 years we have committed to consistently updating our techniques for your four-legged friends. We are committed to using force-free, positivity-focused techniques that encourage mutual respect between dog and human.

Safe, Science-based, and Force-free

Training for Your Dogs and Family!

Our goal is to bring harmony to a household shared by both humans and canines alike. Using force-free, positive reinforcement training practices, we can help your dog find his rhythm—both in your home, with family, friends, strangers, and the outside world.

Individualized, Customized Training—Right In Your Home!

Dogs in Harmony understands how your dog’s mind works. Working with scientifically-proven methods, we have learned that the best way encourage changes in your dog’s behaviour is to work with him in his natural environment. To that end, Dogs in Harmony works solely on-location: we meet you and your dog at your home, the very place where your dog is most comfortable and where his new skills will first be used.

Private Training Makes All The Difference

Working in your home can also allow us to assess what environmental stimuli may be affecting your dog. Does he fear the fish tank? Does she cringe at passing trucks? Does he not like car rides?

Working right on-site gives us a greater understanding of your dog’s behaviour and allows for one-on-one repetition work that isn’t possible in a classroom setting. It also allows us to work with multiple fur-siblings at the same time.

Koen vom Canisphere

Koen vom Canisphere, CGN, a purebred German Shepherd Dog, gently passed from this life on May 23rd, 2013 and is still greatly missed. Koen is credited with igniting Lynn Hyndman’s deep and lifelong love of canine training. During his long life, he assisted Lynn in a demonstration role during Obedience Training Seminars and, from time to time, acted as a Decoy Dog in Behaviour Modification Training Sessions with clients’ dogs. Koen’s legacy lives on and his spirit is never forgotten at Dogs In Harmony.
